Introduction:
Dad Starts Now came to us as more than a podcast.
Funded through the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, it was already creating space for real conversations around fatherhood. Honest, curious and grounded in lived experience.
The foundation was strong. Expert insight, evidence-based information and conversations that cut through the noise of modern parenting content.
But the identity around it hadn’t fully caught up to the depth of what was being said.
In a space where fatherhood is often reduced to stereotypes, quick tips or surface-level advice, Dad Starts Now sits somewhere far more honest. It acknowledges that becoming a dad isn’t a finished state. It’s a process shaped by questions, uncertainty, science, identity shifts and real emotional change.
From men’s health and fertility through to relationships, mental health and parenting, the platform opens up conversations that are often left out entirely.
Strategy & Execution:
Our role was to create a brand capable of holding that complexity.
Something structured enough to support expert content and health professionals, but human enough to reflect the realities of becoming a father.
Rather than leaning into traditional parenting clichés or overly clinical health communications, we developed a visual identity that balanced authority with warmth. A system designed to feel approachable, trustworthy and grounded in real life.
Every element was created to support the broader mission of the platform: helping men feel informed, supported and understood during one of the most significant transitions of their lives.
The identity was designed to work seamlessly across podcast content, educational resources, campaigns and future initiatives, creating a consistent and recognisable presence capable of growing alongside the platform itself.
