About this policy
This policy is issued by BOAST Studio (“BOAST”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or delete it. We are based in Australia and work with clients in Australia and internationally.
Where we rely on your consent — to set analytics and advertising cookies, or to send you marketing — we ask for it separately, and you can withdraw it at any time.
What information we collect
Information you give us. Your full name, email address, phone number, company name, and anything else you choose to include when you complete our enquiry form, subscribe to our newsletter, or email us. We also collect the project information you share with us in the course of an engagement.
Information we collect automatically. Your server address, top level domain name, the date and time of your visit, the pages you access and documents you download, the referring site, your browser and device type, operating system and time zone, and an approximate location derived from your IP address.
How you use the site. Pages viewed, scrolling, clicks and mouse-overs, how long you spend on a page, and the websites you visit before and after ours.
Some of this information is collected through cookies and similar identifiers set by the analytics and advertising providers listed below. Those identifiers can be linked to you across visits and, by those providers, across other websites. We use this to understand how our website performs and to measure our advertising.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and we ask that you do not send it to us.

Advertising measurement. We use advertising and analytics tools provided by Google, Meta and LinkedIn. These set cookies and identifiers in your browser that allow us and those providers to measure how our advertising performs, attribute enquiries to particular campaigns, and show you our advertising on other websites. This involves those providers receiving information about you, including online identifiers and details of your activity on our site.
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the providers listed above, we disclose your personal information only with your consent or where we are required by law to do so — including in response to a warrant or a lawful request from a law enforcement agency.
Overseas disclosure
Several of the providers listed above are based overseas, mainly in the United States and Ireland, and your personal information will be processed there. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website places in your browser when you visit. We use cookies and similar technologies — including web beacons and pixels — and when we say “cookies” we mean all of these. We group them into three categories.
Turning off analytics and advertising cookies will not stop you using the site.
How to manage cookies
You can change your browser settings so that it notifies you when cookies are sent, or refuse cookies altogether, and you can delete cookies that have already been set. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and client information for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and then for five years afterwards to meet our business and record-keeping obligations. After that we delete or de-identify it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Storage and security
We hold personal information in the systems listed above and take reasonable steps to protect it. No information sent over the internet is completely secure, and any information you send us is sent at your own risk.
Our website may contain links to other websites, inside or outside Australia. This policy does not apply to any website we do not control or operate, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Accessing and correcting your information
When you give us personal information, you warrant that it is accurate, current and complete, that you will keep it that way, and that you are authorised to provide it to us.
To access your personal information or ask us to correct it, email contact@boast-studio.com. We will comply with reasonable requests to correct inaccuracies and will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your information
To have your personal information removed from our records, email contact@boast-studio.com from the address you gave us and tell us what you would like deleted. We may ask you to confirm a detail so that we can be sure the request is genuine. We will never ask you for your password. We will action your request within 30 days, unless we are required by law to keep the information.
Marketing and unsubscribing
We send marketing only where you have subscribed or otherwise consented. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing contact@boast-studio.com.
Complaints
If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle your personal information, email contact@boast-studio.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within five business days and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may review and amend this policy from time to time, and will notify you of any amendments by posting an updated version on this website.
