Introduction:
Echo came to us with a bold vision: to redefine how we experience online interactions. They aimed to create a platform that prioritises depth over quantity, targeting users overwhelmed by the fast-paced, often shallow nature of conventional social media. Our task was to capture this concept in a brand identity that resonates with those seeking genuine, engaging and thought-provoking interactions.
Strategy & Execution:
We began by tapping into the psychology of Echo’s audience: thoughtful millennials who are introspective, mindful and looking for a platform that truly speaks their language. With this in mind, we crafted a calming, minimalist brand identity with bursts of neon green – a visual metaphor for the bold, thoughtful ideas that break through the noise. The clean uncluttered and user-friendly UI allow users to quickly grasp the use of the app through familiar layouts, while the content and features promote meaningful and engaging conversations. Interest-based matchmaking, threaded conversations and mood indicators allow users to connect on a deeper level, fostering a sense of empathy and understanding in conversations. It’s a place where your opinion matters and intellectual curiosity thrives.
Commercial Outcome:
The final product? A brand that champions meaningful discourse over mindful scrolling.
